Each year on the weekend closest to Gene Autry's birthday, September 29, the Gene Autry Oklaho ma Museum celebrates the legacy of the singing cowboys with its Film & Music Festival. It's a gathering of cowboy and country singers, cowboy poets and storytellers, Western film stars and look-alikes...and lots of folks who love all this music, poetry, reminiscing, fun and foolishness. And you're invited to the party! The 2009 edition of this exciting event will feature a variety of strong Western and country entertainers as well as Western film stars and Western authors.
